Thank you to the GWHS Wellness Center for giving SupplyHopeInfo the opportunity to fundraise! We collaborated with the Wellness Center by helping them retrieve feedback for Nurse Boyer-Chu’s Fireside Chat videos, in which she spoke to students about health and self-care tips during quarantine. With their contribution, we were able to supply 10 students!
The GWHS Wellness Center is a free, voluntary, and confidential on-campus resource for all GWHS students. They provide services and educational resources ranging from counseling services to reproductive healthcare and substance use. Their team includes the Wellness Coordinator, Nurse, Community Health Outreach Worker (CHOW), Richmond Area Multi-Services (RAMS) Counselors, and a group of GWHS students called Youth Outreach Workers (YOWs), who lead presentations and events exhibiting the various services the Wellness Center offers to other Washington students.
